Summer Heat

After repeatedly hearing the Mark Twain quote "The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco.", before my big move to the city, I was completely unprepared for the last two days of what seemed to be 90 degree weather! I walked out of the house wearing a scarf, sweatshirt, and jeans. Note to self: check the weather report so you don't have to strip down in the middle of a busy street. It seems summer has officially arrived! A few things to fight the summer heat: cute shades, short shorts, and cold watermelon.

I arrived in San Francisco bright and early Sunday morning with my wardrobe and two bunnies in tow. I don't think the city was prepared for my huge yellow Caddilac but luckily I had a little help parking the boat ;). My very gracious hosts for a month, Nicole and Callie, had big plans to take me to the Fillmore festival but unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate. So... as soon as Andrew arrived we opted for house hunting instead. Chips, salsa, and a glass of red wine on the roof top was a perfect ending to a great first day.
